Global
Wireless Networks Inc., a privately held startup
company, is developing a unique open standards infrastructure
for the wireless networks. Started in Nov. 1999 have
come up with innovative architecture to provide support
for voice, data and video services on wireless networks
using IP connectivity. GWN was founded in 2001 by
Mr. Jay K Patel to build wireless Core Net Connect
for secure connectivity between Radio Access Networks
and Packet Data Networks for next generation services.
Consumer
demand for the wireless services didn't pickup
as much as expected last year due to low bandwidth
provided by wireless carriers. To support
variety of interactive data services and multimedia
features, infrastructure needs to support
higher bandwidth.
GWN's solution
provides ample bandwidth and makes efficient
use of bandwidth, to provide secure connectivity
from base subsystem to backbone network, improved
coverage among rural/suburban cities to reduce
operation cost.
Jay
has over Fifteen years of
experience in wireless business
and technology. He acquired
his technical consulting expertise
at Lucent Technologies, Inc.
(Bell Labs), Motorola with
the IDEN (Integrated Dispatch
Enhanced Network - Cellular
+ Radio Communication Network)
and Iridium systems; and at
Metricom with the Ricochet
and Redback networks. During
these years, Jay worked on
a variety of platforms; re-designed
system architectures, integrated
edge routers into the wireless
network (Smart Edge family),
and developed real-time embedded
software, including call processing,
system boot, and client-server
technology. He provided both
technical and management solutions
for projects, demonstrating
strong leadership skills.
Jay developed his business
experience during the past
five years, working with vendors,
managing projects, and implementing
the core solutions for next
generation technology using
wireless and fiber optics,
IP-VPN implementation, and
high-speed remote connectivity.
Jay has one Patent granted
and few more pending with
USPTO. Jay has an MSCS from
the IIT, Chicago, and a BSEE
from Bombay University, India.
